When I finally saw my poster that came with the Target CD, I realized that there are 61 "dots" on the poster. Then I finally realized that there are 61 on the album cover as well. There's a good reason for that, since they picked a hexagonal lattice for the pattern, and 61 is a centered hexagonal number (and prime). Centered hexagonal number - Wikipedia

There's probably another meaning behind it, I'm sure, but I think this is at least part of it.

 

The total sum of P + A + L + M + S = 61

Kings Road always has issues like this, it's no surprise. Sucks that bands still work with them but it is what it is.
