I feel like Hold Fast Hope's outro gets overlooked. So good. Is there a not great outro on Vheissu? Literally cannot think of a single not good song ending on that album.
That piano and drum outro on "Weight of Glory" is too good not to be on Vheissu and I hate that it isn't.
It’s a really good rock song and I can totally hear the Dave Grohl comparisons. The breakdown could’ve been on the first Foo Fighters record and the drums at 2:28 sound like Songs for the Deaf.
I'm from Vermont and I have heard tonic a couple times and never knew it was/could mean soda. That's a weird discovery.
I like Hold Up A Light enough but I really wish it has like half the length. I always think its about to end then it just keeps going for like another minute. I think it'd be great if it were short and sweet like Blood on the Sand.
I skip Wake Up. I don't skip Hold Up Light, BUT I do skip the first 2 songs because I played them out so hard. I usually have to come back to an album a month or so after it's release. I hate the 3 month, 3 song marketing strategy. I don't know...these albums weren't meant to skip around, but i end up starting at whatever track I haven't heard. Maybe just release a trailer of the album or announce it a month before release and drop 1 song? I know a lot of people can hold out, but most can't. It's honestly, the worst. I guess someone knows more than me about the strategy, but i personally think it hurts record release day. Where's the science at?
I’m vowing not to listen to anymore Thrice singles next album cycle. Going in blind next record. I meant to do that this time but nah.
