@Dog with a Blog @Petit nain des Îles I think the main complaint was that some felt the metaphor that Dustin presents in the lyrics falls flat. I personally think its one of the strongest songs on the album. Riley's playing in the verses is a personal favorite of mine
Well Disarmed is a cool song and it’s the last one on the record. Anthology was sort of a call back song for this fans. Try giving a few sons anther listen. Words in the Water and Yellowbelly are both great, but have such different sound.
I think I've heard all of the songs, but not in sequence. I'm not a big thrice fan and from the little I remember that album is the sound I don't like. I really dislike Yellowbelly
Yellowbelly is really different than the rest of the album. I love the opening riff. If you don’t like the band or any songs, why would you continue to give them a listen? I as respectively. Thrice is very much an album band. It’s not like there a a few songs that everyone loves than filler. If you ask 10 Thrice fans their favourite song on an album you’d likely get 7 or 8 different songs with with votes.
I enjoy Call It In The Air I love Promises Anthology is probably one of my favorite Thrice songs Then the rest of M/M doesn’t really exist to me
With so many great bands out there, I wouldn’t invest my time and money into bands I’m not a big fan of. But to each there own.
One thing I’m missing on this is a really heavy song. Dustin goes pretty hard on Only Us for verse/bridge I think a song like hold up the light would have been way cooler if he was emoting that way. As opposed to what he does.
What? I like to listen to music and I like to listen to a lot of different music. I like this band I'm just not a big fan of them.
This is such a dumb thing to get upset about lol. You can be a casual fan of something, you can be a huge fan of something, you can potentially hate something and still check it out to see if there are any redeemable qualities. Who gives a fuck
If you’re not a fan of something, it’d be fair to assume you don’t like it. If I said I’m not a fan of pop, but like Coke, then you do like pop. Just 1 kind.
I love the album and especially The Dark but does anyone else think that it would sound better if the fan choir part repeated like 2 more times before it faded out? I think it would make it sound more powerful.
