Indie rock, post-hardcore. They only have 3 releases. I recommend them all. As for similar bands you can find them here: Colour Revolt reviews, music, news - sputnikmusic
I honestly think the run of tracks 3-6 on here is my favorite stretch. Just the amazing haunting ambience of all four of those songs gets under my skin in the best possible way.
Just got an email back from KRM. As we all know, they’re always super helpful..... The reply simple reads: “Hello, Your order is for the Thrice bundle.“ it’s followed up by a link to my order page. I guess I’ll find out whenever it gets here.
I can't decide how I feel about The Dark. I like the idea of the song and I dig the chorus, but the buildup doesn't really go anywhere. Like there should be one more heavy chorus before going into the outro.
This is their first album in a long time that I have multiple songs stuck in my head playing in a running loop. You know an album sticks with you when you first wake up it's the first thing your mind sings. I've had "Just Breathe", "Everything Belongs", "My Soul" and "Beyond the Pines" all creep up during the day in my head, and I haven't even gotten a listen of this album today.
Everything belongs riff is always in my head. Pretty sure that piano is out of tune lol, anyone with perfect pitch can confirm?
Yup. To me, there's a wide gap between the idea of "The Dark" and its actual execution. I was really expecting some sort of grander outro, but it sort of just ends. Thought abrupt endings was a general issue with several of the songs on Palms, actually.
I can confirm this. I just put another album on now instead. Trying to not over play the new Thrice. Only heard it thrice and this has already started happening to me.
Lol that was my first thought too. Good thing it is aging well considering it isn't officially out yet.
