Yeah, I've been to the Fillmore quite a few times going back to when it was called The State Theater. Overall it's a great venue. Good sound, lights, amazing architecture and lots of space to move around throughout the venue. However the general floor/pit area is pretty small for the size of the venue. The balcony seats are also pretty nice considering how old the venue is. They usually reserve the first row of the balcony for VIP tickets, but it changes based on the show. I just saw Motion City Soundtrack there and was able to sit in the second row. No one was even in front of us anyways though. Watch out for security if you're the type of person who crowd surfs or moshes though. I've witnessed them get overly physical with fans at basically every show I've seen there. EDIT: Just realized you were probably talking about the Fillmore in Philly. My post is about the Detroit venue.
Lol thanks for the detail! Haha yea I'm going to the Philly show tonight. Might upgrade to vip. Just want a great experience tonight, can't believe how excited I am
If anybody here is at the show in Philly tonight and wants to say hi I'm wearing a black Moving Mountains t-shirt and carrying a plastic bag with the new Thrice LP in it
Hey guys! If you're at the Philly show tonight, there's a guy in a black Moving Mountains shirt who wants you to just take the vinyl off his hands. :)
Does anyone know how long approximately the show runs after the performance time? Trying to sort out transportation for the day
@fluffyjdawg out of curiosity, what is the parking situation for the Fillmore (the one in Detroit, haha)? I'm considering going to the show on Wednesday but parking always gives me anxiety in big cities.
There are private lots you can pay $10-20 for but I usually park at Greektown casino for free and walk over. That's what I'll do Wednesday most likely.
To anybody that hasn't seen the show yet, all three bands were extremely on point. and for those that have been following setlist trends, Thrice played Beggars instead of Daedalus in reference to tonight's Starland Ballroom show.
Hey guys and gals … I'm sitting on an extra GA ticket for the Boston show tonight. Anybody in need? Get at me!
Unrelated to the tour, but WWE Money In The Bank used "Black Honey" as part of their promo video to promote their Money In The Bank Ladder match tonight. Pretty awesome.
Only a few more days! Can anyone give an idea as to when the tour variant LPs sold out at their show?
They did a damn good job on that video too. It's cool that they're featuring bands from this scene like PVRIS and Thrice more.
Also A Day To Remember's "Paranoia" was used for their NXT live special 2 weeks ago. Whoever is in charge of music selection is on a roll as of late.
The Granada is awesome, I love that place! I'm thinking about going but I don't have anyone to go with at the moment, so we'll see. Kinda want to go just to have a chance at the tour pressing and La Dispute haha
Today is the day! Anyone else going to be at the House of Blues tonight? My fiancee wasn't down with getting there super early so I could get my Tour variant. So I will be on my own until like 8:30ish.
