I'm already getting restless and looking at past second single release dates for clues/expectations.

 

I'll probably listen to a new song if it gets released before the album but i'll probably wait to listen to gnash again I really don't want to overplay it like I did all the world is mad.

 

Yeah, I listened to Gnash like 5 times on the first day but pretty much not since. Should feel pretty fresh again when the album drops.

 

In other news, I've had an alternate basketball mixtape version stuck in my head...

I've listened to Gnash an ungodly amount of times because I am a weakling with no self-discipline.

 

Yeah, past album roll-out timelines seem to suggest something like:

D Day: tour announcement
D + ~4weeks: album announcement/first song
D + ~8weeks: second song
D + ~11weeks: third song
D + ~12weeks: album released
D + ~13weeks: first tour date

While the gap from tour announcement to album announcement/first song was similar this time, it seems like they might have begun the whole process 2 - 4 weeks earlier. I'd guess we get a second song in late August and a third song in late September.

I hear you on the restlessness. I wish Thrice would post a studio video or promo interview discussing the album or... anything. Promotional material has been strikingly minimal so far.

Don't think that really sounds like Thrice but that dude is actually pretty good at what he does and has made quite a few bangers.

I don’t think Thrice is too concerned with charting.

 

Yeah that guy is super talented, his covers in the style of alt metal bands are usually spot-on. Agreed that this isn’t that close to Thrice but fun nonetheless

 

Thrice really should move up their date out of respect.
