They call it Audiotrree because you can plant and grow a real tree by the time their episodes see the light of day.
The pink at least was available yesterday morning but now shows sold out. So I guess that answers that.
Very cool to see my review/quote in the press release!: “Horizons/West has everything that Thrice fans have come to expect, but it also features a steady amount of great surprises too to keep fans coming back to their concerts for hopes of picking up a clue of where they’ll take their music next. One thing is for sure, it won’t be boring, and it will be worth the journey.” – Chorus.fm - (Thrice – Horizons/West) The Audiotree Sessions are really great too for this session:
Songs just sound so huge. Fucking love this band. I think I’ve spun West enough times to conclude that it’s up there with Beggars for me as my favorite album from them. Can’t believe they’re still capable of that this deep into their career.
Yeah, this album still slaps months after release. Sounds incredible and harkens to nearly every part of their catalog. I felt the same way about Major/Minor when it came out, but I think this beats it in nearly every aspect. With the release and finally owning the Alchemy index on vinyl, I've been on a huge Thrice kick again. Deluxe packaging for West is out of this world. The Grammys definitely missed a nomination for album art/presentation on this one
spending a lot of time with the newest record lately and i think by far, the most impressive thing about it to me is how well it is sequenced. the entire album is a breeze to get through, every song has a cool transition or cuts in a way that makes sense for the flow of the tracklisting (i especially adore that tiny, breath like pause right before Distant Suns rolls in), and there’s not a single moment where i feel like it drags or squanders. i definitely think this is probably the strongest theyve ever sounded in their career. i can see it becoming my favorite of theirs with time. it’s crazy that the band can still put out albums like this so deep in their career
