Listened to holding on. It rules. Saving the dark glow for the first listen.

    Thrice is the best

When do we think this drops on Thursday/Friday? Wife and I are planning separate listening parties for ourselves, she Taylor me Thrice. I think I doubt Thrice is going to hit 9PM PT like Taylor is going to, right?

Spotify has a countdown that clearly shows it arriving at 9PM PT Thursday night.

Wake Up and Black Honey are on the same album so presumably they didn't know Black Honey was a hit when they wrote Wake Up. Definitely wouldn't say stadium rock by any stretch, straightforward by Thrice standards sure but would give the guys more credit than that (and I'm a stadium rock fan per my photo).

I probably should have said feels like they were chasing a rock hit instead of including black honey but personal opinion it feels for how brilliant of songwriters they are those songs feel like something beneath them but whatever they write is going to be decent a the very least and they can write whatever they want

black honey is pretty good. its always distractingly sounded a lot like bn's at the bottom to me but uh, i'd certainly rather hear a thrice song in that template nowadays

really really do not like wake up, i think its my least favorite song in this discog

I'm doing Taylor -> Thrice -> AFI in that order, and then repeat all weekend depending on mood. B-)

Just gonna wait until Friday to hear anything other than the first two singles they put out.

Both new songs fantastic and I can’t believe how different each song has been so far.

I was trying to wait until Friday but had a crappy day and needed something new to listen to. Going to hold off on any other plays though.

holding on is really great and seems like itll only pop more in context. seems theyve mostly shared more linear songs as singles but im guessing the more textural stuff is yet to come

still think gnash is the best of the four, huge heater
