Also, I had previously missed the link to this article about West: Interview Contains some cool details about "Blackout", West being heavier than East, & connections between the two albums (opening track of West will include things from both opening and closing tracks of East, apparently).

 

It was, at least how it was translated in my browser. I'm stoked for the record—hopefully I didn't come across otherwise.

UK dates on general sale on Friday. Last time they were here I had a ticket but my wife ended up in hospital the night before so didn’t get chance to go. Hopefully I can finally see them this time.

 

Got my ticket to see Thrice in Birmingham this morning, it costs including fees etc. £41.50

 

Got an email for a presale for Nottingham so I’ve picked one up too! Hopefully attend this time, haha!

 

I really want to catch them twice or even thrice on this upcoming tour

 

Not sure Twice is opening on any of these dates but I can exclusively confirm you'll get to see Thrice there

Album reminds me of how I felt about Palms after TBEITBN; where it's undeniably good, but I didn't like it as much as the previous, and it got fewer plays from me over time, and now I very rarely reach for it. And then Horizons/East felt like an awesome bounce back and it got hundreds of plays, even more than TBE. With an awesome feel/groove, and that album just dominated my entire fall. Curious to see how this shifts with a few more play. It's good; it just didn't knock me on my ass.

It sucks to hear especially since they waited until they felt inspired to continue working on it, even though I played the hell out of palms when it first came out for me it is their worst album besides indentity crisis, maybe at this point in their career I can expect some bangers on their albums instead of an album with every song being great

 

Damn lol. But I didn't and still don't like TBEITBN as whole, but I liked Palms more. Horizons/East is my favorite of their post hiatus albums though, hoping I enjoy this one.

 

Feels like people are taking what I said in a weird, and far more negative way, than what I meant. It doesn't sound like Palms, it reminds me of how I felt after hearing Palms, an album I liked but did not think was as good as the previous.

I said multiple times this is good.

 

Speaking of Palms, i should sell the vinyl for that. I never opened it and I don't like that album at all. The only song i still listen to is Beyond The Pines. It's down there with Major/Minor for least favorite in their discography, but M/M was much better.

 

the whole run from m/m through palms doesnt really do it for me, thought east was a huge upgrade that completely blindsided me. hoping west is more like that

 

Palms is the only letdown that's ever occurred for me in their discography. Just an amazing career overall.
