I mean west will be a hell of a record. It hasn't been cancelled. You seem to be confused/ misinformed.

 

I am legitimately confused about what these songs are building to. Dustin recently said they have an entire album coming soon that is not related to Horizons and this seems to be both separate from that and not West. It's cool to see bands doing more one-off releases that don't result in a full length. Catching up to the rest of the music world.

 

I'm guessing it was a timing thing, they may have just been fragments of what they ended up being and they didn't have time to finish them in time for the record.

Glad we got them, regardless, now I want a double A-side 7-inch.

 

Yeah it's interesting getting this bonus east material. I would imagine it's pretty freeing for them to just release one-offs and stuff and let it be what it is. I don't usually have as strong of a connection to a single song as to a album, but I'm all for the band going with where the energy is. Very cool song, I'm excited to listen again.

Thrice having their own studio space and producing skills has really turned out well for us.

When asked about whether or not fans could expect a heavier direction for the hotly anticipated Horizons / West, the frontman explained that the album was in the very early stages and wasn't giving too much away in terms of the tone of the album, saying, "I really don't know yet. I know certain things that will tie back to the other record in a few ways, but, it's really hard to say. I think it's possible, but I don't want to lead you astray [laughs]"....

I have this vinyl and it is so awesome. 4 colored records for the elements, all the lyrics, liner notes about every song from every band member. Probably my favorite vinyl I own.
