It was conceived during East sessions for West, but with the latter no longer happening, it's become an extension of East, hence the artwork.
I've just really enjoyed everything out of the Horizon sessions. After being very iffy on most of Palms, excited for where they are headed.
As far as I have seen, West is not canceled but they are not releasing it as fast as they thought they would.
I always feel like a weirdo when I say how much love Palms. The vibe just hit me in the right way when it came out, may be my favorite of theirs after Vheissu
They were burned out after the East cycle so the next record will become its own thing, per Dustin. It still might include some leftover East ideas that were intended for West, unless they release them as singles like Dead Wake and Open Your Eyes. But it's also going to have new material not part of the East sessions.
A Thrice song about worker solidarity?!? Fuck yeah, baby! EDIT: I’m a little unsure of the timing of it all, but if these two songs were in the mix for Horizons/East, the lads made a mistake leaving them off the album. They absolutely rule.
