Not sure what it's from yet but the song itself is absolutely incredible. If it's a B-side I'm shocked it didn't make the album.
yea no way could this be a b-side. pretty blown away on initial listen. that chorus might be polarizing tho
Wow, that's a wild ride of a song. It's great. Production-wise sounds like a very advanced demo, so definitely a b-side. I can understand why it was left off, stylistically it has some parts that could be considered a bit redundant with other songs.
Unbelievably good. Bsides strike again! Anyone else stoked this seems likely related to the Erik Larson book of the same name?
Yo this fucking track, hope it's Horizons/West or is it confirmed a B-Side? EDIT: Guess since this has a Scavengers acoustic with it, it's a B-Side. EDIT 2: I feel like they would have said it was a B-Side in the Thrice Alliance email. This is how it's worded. "A quick heads up that we’ve got some new material coming your way tomorrow! Excited to share our new track, “Dead Wake” as well as an acoustic version of “Scavengers”. Make sure to keep an eye out!"
Really cool sounding track. I know I’ve probably said this before in the thread, but imo this is the most inspired they’ve sounded since the beggars days imho. Not to say TBEITBN or Palms aren’t good albums, but everything since then feels really inspired from them. I think a big part is the production too. To me the production from Horizons sounds like beggars on steroids
The calmer parts reminds me of Stumbling West, and this would work on a record with Scavengers, so if it's a bside to Horizons/East, single to promote during touring or a Horizons/West single, we win either way. Thrice makes suck interesting music and I love it.
Song rules. Thrice rules. Typically thrice doesn’t just drop singles without either album info or explicitly stating it’s a b side. Interested to see what’s said about it tmw.
I'm really hoping this is Horizons/West and it's going to go more in this direction. Song is really fucking good. Also Scavengers acoustic is fantastic.
