Neither were played on the Palms headline tour. Loved that set, even though they didn’t play Beggars in Orlando like the rest of the tour.
Starting to think that this record is really really good, but still working out why I think that. Is it fair to say that this is a lot less rock and more post hardcore than they've been in a while?
for me, it feels it has more flow/groove and more experimentation then the last 2 records which I’ve really enjoy at least. Honestly feel like it’s the most creative they’ve been in a while too. i think the producer thing worked the last 2 records especially coming off hiatus but it seems they’ve done their best work on their own
I was at that Orlando show, oddly enough, and didn’t remember that. Must be the only time I’ve seen them (out of 10 or 11?) they haven’t. I never tire of TEWS live, but ODAN definitely could’ve been swapped for any other Vheissu song and I would’ve been as happy.
Well, I quite like what they did with some of Palms' songs. Only Us is outstanding, Just Breathe is great, I really dig My soul, and The Grey, Everything Belongs and Beyond the pines are very good, too. I'm not into Blood on blood and Hold up a light, but overall, the rest of the songs are pretty good.
Man, Still Life is just magical. Someone else wrote earlier that there are 0 stinkers on this record and I couldn't agree more. But for real Beggars and M/M are bottom tier Thrice.

This website specifically seemed to resonate really hard with Beggars compared with the rest of the Thrice fandom and I wonder what it is about this demographic and that album.
