i only listened to summer set fire to rain one time prior to this, i fucking love the screaming vocals on the outro
still life has unfortunately hit a massive lull for me. definitely gonna need to be one to grow on me.
back to rippin on the dreamer though, i dig it. vocals are more aggressive than i was expecting from the vibe the guitar laid out.
i also only listened to robot soft exorcism once before this and its as good as i recall. love the vibe and production on this one.
alright i finished her up, massively impressed with this album but i know its gonna grow on me even more. but all in all there was only one song that didnt completely captivate me, there's a lot to dive into here though, including lyrics which i paid very little attention to but did like what i caught. overall, a big bounce back from palms in my opinion, and a better version of what they record could've been.
Still sludgy, noisy post-hardcore/post-metal. They have a new album out in a few weeks and a couple songs available now: Also, don't forget this album with the Breckenridges, plus the guitarist and bassist of KWC, and Mike Minnick of Curl Up and Die:
Album is fantastic, wasn't a fan of TBEITBN, and I liked Palms more, I know it's early, but this is their best work post hiatus Thrice.
it'll take some time to determine how it stacks up against TBEITBN but im rather confident it's gonna wind up right on par with it or just above it when all is said and done. like i said thats a top half of their discog for me.
i wont be listening again til tomorrow but im already fucking amped to listen to it on my way to therapy when im on the subway and walking through the city
When TBEITBN came out, I listened to it for the first time while drinking some beers with a fellow thrice fan. when palms came out, my first listen was a distracted listen as I was on my way to a murder by death show in Sacramento. Tmw I plan to wake up extra early and take horizons/East for a long run before work. I’ve never been more excited to run haha. loving the first reactions. Can’t wait to hear it tmw.
