I might like that more than the original. Unreal how good these guys are.

Great, straightforward cover. Nice to hear vocals from Teppei so clearly.

  6. Hmmm...

    Makes me wonder....

Would I be a Smashing Pumpkins fan if Dustin Kensrue was the singer?

Did they perform any other acoustic tracks or covers for this session?

With the news of a likely original Pumpkins reunion next year this has me off the walls excited.

Also, Bad Rabbits did a delicious 1979 cover too.

Name one song that Dustin Kensrue wouldn't sound good covering

Wow that cover blew me away. Bad Rabbits is so talented!

I've been a gigantic Pumpkins fan since I can remember so no covers will ever touch songs like 1979 but it's always nice to see bands do it right.

Thrice and Bad Rabbits are doing it very right.

Barbie Girl by Aqua? Nookie by Limp Bizkit?

Actually he could probably make Nookie dope, on second thought.

This is probably the best thing we're gonna hear this week. Sensational rendition.

Be kind; everyone is on their own journey.

Love that little 'twang' that Dustin has developed over the years...the little break in his voice at the end of some words. Not sure what the musical term is for that but 'twang' seems to work :ok:.

This name pops up often on here, but I haven't listened to them yet. Maybe it's time to give them a chance, any RIYLs?

  21. My go-tos would be Cursive, Modest Mouse, and Brand New. Their singer's voice takes a little getting used to, but once you embrace it, they really are an amazing indie-rock band. I'd highly recommend starting with their last album, LOSE.
