B&C set tonight, for those that were asking Void For A Walk Spinning When I Come Undone Tiny Raindrop Midnight Zone
B&C are sooo good live. The singer is fun with his little movements and dancing. Will totally need to listen to more of them!
Closing with Midnight Zone is pretty strange, they had been opening with it on more recent tours. That is a strange set but still super pumped to see them.
Yeah it was a weird set for sure. Also worth noting that they were missing two of their members, there were replacements but between that and the song choices it was a weird experience.
I've heard a lot of rumors about them being on the verge of breaking up recently. With two touring members and Jon's side project Coward, it doesn't help alleviate that chatter.
They literally dropped an album like 12, maybe 13 months ago? I don't foresee that at all, where are you guys getting this from? Why would they be doing these one-off headlining shows like Vegas, Virginia, etc? I think I'm seeing them Nov. 15th headlining in Virginia in about a week, I'll try and ask them
Neither of those things have any bearing on their status as band though? 12 months ago isn't a small amount of time when it comes to music, especially in this scene. On most release schedules, they'd be expected to release a new album in the next year. Hell, Moving Mountains broke up just days after their last record -- some bands even announce they're breaking up before they even release their final album. As far as the headliners... well, they're on tour anyway, why wouldn't they play a few one offs to grab some extra cash and play a final few extended sets?
Does anyone have any idea how the Philly shows will work since there are two? I'm not sure if it's been confirmed which band will be closing on Fri/Sat or if the set lengths will differ at all since they're co-headliners.
I haven’t gone yet but I have looked at the setlists for both bands for each show that has been inputted to setlist.fm and it appears that no matter who closes they are playing the same number of songs. I’d think Thrice would switch up a few songs at the second show. They seem to do that when they have two-night stand.
Anyone get one of the signed posters yet at the show? Also wondering if they'll let me bring in a poster tube into Terminal 5.
Welp… I was wrong. I saw them do three two night stands with brand New in 2007 and 2009 and each time they where different.
I think a big part of it is the fact that they already teased they break-up once. I want to say that it was about 2 years ago, and then they ended up announcing that they were finishing up a new LP instead and it was kind of a joke all along. I felt like there was a little bit of truth underlying the joke though, like a bit of a "it was a joke this time, but we don't want to do this forever". I hope they don't break up honestly. LP3 was cool and this is a nice tour for them. Idk. Touring 9 months out of the year probably sucks.
If I remember correctly it seems like they are switching well that's what it seemed like for the 2 Philly dates. But I'm wondering about that as well. Would like to know ahead of time not that it really matters but still curious to find out.
