Short haired Thor? I thought he was going to start using the hatchet after losing the hammer, what are these swords?
I'm less and less into Marvel movies and Thor is the least interesting of the bunch, but I love what I've seen from Taika Waititi. Hopefully his voice is strong in this
Remember how photoshopped the other EW covers have been. It will most likely look much better on film
http://ew.com/movies/thor-ragnarok-exclusive-first-look-photos/super-double-issue Everything here looks so good to me. The Grandmaster is ridiculous in the best way. Someone give me a trailer already! lol.
holy lol Goldblum looks ridiculous. I like the simple approach to Hela. I wonder if we see Hel at all.
Taika Waititi making a weird space movie is enough for me to get excited. None of those pictures inspire confidence, but I also realize they're basically set photos and won't totally represent the look of the movie. I'm pretty indifferent to superhero movies, and I hated the previous Thor movies. But my man Taika's got this
The thing that stands out the most to me this the color of the set design. The stills don't do it justice, but they highlight the 80's influence, making seem like a "what if an advanced alien race was so enamored with US's 1980s media, that it influenced the entire design of a society" kind of feel...which seems like an idea Waititi would run with and absolutely kill
I'm super excited for jeff goldblum haha, and the ending of the trailer was funny, but good lord this is trying sooooo hard to be guardians of the galaxy, but that cinematography is back to that bland marvel look and not as pretty as guardians.
Meh. Looks fun and all, but it's like they're not even trying at this point. "Heeeey look at Thor battling the Hulk with a 70's rock song in the background. Give us your money. Also Asgard might be in danger or whatever."
I am all in on this. Love the aesthetic of the gladiator world. Thor hanging from the chain at the beginning and getting excited for the Hulk both hint at some quality humor and charm from Chris Hemsworth. And, Hela is 100% fabulous, especially with that Jack Kirby flair to her design.
