Vin Diesel will do motion capture for Groot for the first time.

 

It’s going to be interesting to see how this lines up with Guardians 3 considering Hemsworth is supposed to be in that movie as well but it’s not coming out for a bit after this.

 

As speculated but so sweet to have confirmed. The release date was also silently pushed back to May.

That Thor run with Gorr is one of my favourites so really excited to see how this turns out.

 

Just watched a video about Gorr and this can be really, really cool. Not sure if Taikas sensibilities necessarily work for Gorr as a villain, but it can be such a great story thematically.

 

Yeah my only concern is that Gorr’s story is bleak af and kind of a dark, heavy arc. Unless I’m misremembering.

I just don’t want him to be made into a joke.

 

I hope it's the actor he played in Ragnarok and he's just going about his business as a fisherman on earth.

also i feel like there was no announcement for that. why announce it two years ahead of time if it’s just another cameo

Apparently he said he’ll be in Australia for the next few months. That could be a sign that it’s not a 30 second cameo...or he could just be vacationing after filming

it won’t be just a cameo again. they never announce those “signing on” deals ahead of time. he does it a bunch in a lot of different movies and it always relies on you not knowing he’s going to pop up lol

Honestly making a big deal over announcing Matt Damon has been cast only for it to just be another cameo as the Loki actor definitely seems like something Taika would want to do lol
