Idk other than like…it’d be lame as hell if he only god butchers for like 15 mins and gave up on it haha. Some vow. I will grant though that the movie does me know favors here and at best I can say he probably does but who knows
I mean, there are timespans inbetween a couple of years and a few minutes that would make just as much sense, y'know?
If someone is following another poster from thread to thread to be antagonistic or whatever that’s fucking lame and being an asshole. If someone posts a different opinion about something that another poster liked that’s just a forum/internet. Idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
oh really? i feel like i post them constantly but now that i’m thinking about it it’s mostly on discord lol she rocks! a year and a half now!
Just saw this. It was good but far from great. A little too silly all around. Some parts felt like the filmed preview portions of a theme park ride or something if that makes sense... I did really enjoy Bale as Gorr and any scene he was in stole the show for me.
I’ve only blocked 2 people on here and I’ve unblocked one of them off since. The other person is blocked because they’re just generally not a nice person and the way they talk to people is really shitty, so has nothing to do their opinions because we share a few when it comes to music. I may miss a few threads they create because of it, but so be it. I don’t post much anymore anyway. Blocking is self care
Saw this last night and mostly really liked it. Thought it was a great time and the emotional stuff was effective. Felt like nice closure that we didn't really get before on the Jane/Thor storyline (whether she comes back or not). Gorr felt scary, especially that shadow world scene, and there's few Marvel characters I feel this way about, but watching Thor raise a kid actually sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I only have two complaints. The Asgardians of the Galaxy stuff never went anywhere - I really kind of wanted a whole team up movie between them, but I guess now they have an established relationship and it could still come. And if there was a secret wishing well in the middle of the universe that Thor could have just bifrosted his way to at any point... well best not to think too much about that I guess, but we could've avoided a lot of death
I mean, if you really want to tear some holes in the plot, why was Stormbreaker the key to opening the door to Eternity anyway? Stormbreaker was only made recently, right? Why would a weapon made only a few years ago open a door to a being that's millennia old?
Well I think it was more the power of the bifrost, the stormbreaker was just the conduit for it. That’s what I thought anyway
So I did some checking, and I guess the reason for Stormbreaker is because it can channel the Bifrost, which is how Thor can teleport and why no other weapon would do for a key. Also found an article about the whole "could've wished Thanos away at any time" argument, and the flaw is that Thor only knew of Eternity, but didn't know how to reach Eternity until now.
i only had a few observations: i think this movie tried a bit too hard to replicate/exaggerate the humor that was in ragnarok. in it's defense, ragnarok left behind big shoes to fill. i think having both the foster thor AND the gorr storylines made cramming this into a 110 minute movie unfair. i don't mind long movies if they're good/great, and it would have benefitted from more growth from both storylines. especially since i enjoyed both portman and bale's performances here. the one thing this movie was missing the most was... LOKI. this was thor's first 'solo' film without him and i just couldn't get used to it. maybe a post credit scene with loki in the TVA looking at what's happening in earth saying 'i have to warn him' coulda sufficed.
The one thing drives me nuts about Marvel films is the misuse disposal of villains. It’s happened so much and so often. This being no exception. And really you never believed that Gorr was much a threat anyway just like dozens of marvel villains not named Thanos. It’s kinda getting hokey at this point.
