Plot outline and wow…this will be good

Thor is working with the Guardians and they eventually realize he is mentally depressed and lost. They drop him off at a rehab center. Thor reunited with Korg.

Jane, who has cancer, visits New Asgard and the hammer senses her and reforms. She becomes Thor but while she is healthy when using Thor’s power, her cancer is worse when she is isn’t using the powers.

Gorr lost his family so he is looking for Eternity in an attempt to get them back. He finds no help so he vows to kill all gods. He finds a sword that can kill gods.

Jane meets Thor and Valkyrie and they go to stop Gorr.

They meet Zeus and attempt to warn him but he has his own agenda and is crazy so they end up fighting with Zeus nearly dying. Valkyrie takes his thunder.

Thor realizes Jane has cancer and pleads for her to stop and that whatever the issue is it’s not worth her giving up her life. She says that she doesn’t want to stop and wants to help.

While fighting Gorr, Jane destroys the hammer again and dies. Gorr is touched by this and decides he will stop his crusade. His life is exchanged for his daughter and he dies.

Thor promises to watch over Gorr’s daughter and they leave to their next adventure.

Zeus hires Hercules to track down Thor.

The film ends with Heimdall welcoming Jane to Valhalla.

    Terrible.

If an interviewer wants to throw in a fun/random question it should at least be good. That was just a waste of press time for everyone involved.

I feel like an MCU movie hasn’t cracked 90% for a while?

Yeah it's down to 74% now. Seems to be pretty mixed all around

Reviews are making it sound like a warmed-over version of Ragnarok. I'm rapidly losing interest in the MCU over the last couple years due to how formulaic it's all become. I'd be happy with them putting out some projects that are stand alone and aren't confined by the limitations of the MCU.

Still kinda upset that Blade is gonna be in the MCU, was hoping we'd get a project that didn't feel as family friendly and closer to the original vibe.

It sucks to hear that Gorr isn’t as much of a character as he is a MacGuffin.

I’m still looking forward to seeing this ‘cause a lesser Ragnarok still sounds pretty fun, but not a great sign if even Taika Waititi can’t quite stick the landing in this “phase” or whatever.

Taika didn’t have as much creative control of Ragnorak. He took part in many of the comedic moments but the story itself was 3 other people.

Love and Thunder is basically Feige letting him go wild and it might have not been for the best. While Taika is great at comedy he seems to struggle most when it comes to juggling tones.

Still excited to see this, however.

Reading the synopsis, it sounds like Gorr is completely wasted. I don't think the story lends itself to a two hour movie.

I have no complaints with Taika’s ability to handle tone, Boy and Hunt for the Wilderpeople nail it (it’s been a while since I’ve seen Eagle vs Shark). I think the problem is just marvel fatigue. Theres too many movies and shows and especially at the moment, it feels aimless.

I also think there might be a little Taika fatigue. He’s been in a ton of stuff, often to do his Taika thing and it can grating when used in the wrong way (“Free Guy”).
