Yeah. This was everything I wanted it to be. gonna throw on the like top 5 saddest episodes one day and just destroy myself
2 halves of a whole imo. Second to last was definitely the home run swing, but I think they complemented each other nicely. Spending so much time in a low stakes flashback was an interesting choice for the last ep but I think I liked that they did that. And they nailed the end end.
Got sidetracked into rewatching Stranger Things so I haven’t finished quite yet, but I’m up to season 6’s thanksgiving episode and Mandy Moore just obliterated me emotionally and I needed to share it.
Rewatching. What a show. I didn't like Season 6 on the first watch as a lot of it felt rushed trying to get to a lot of closure, but man it's good a second time. Philip's monologue after his dinner with Kate, the whole episode with Toby and Kate's ending, Kevin taking ownership of Rebecca's final years. It's all great. I still find Kate lacking self-awareness in the first half of the season, but once she's with Philip she comes good.
