Blows my mind that there’s no mention of Weightless, that is one of my favorite 3eb songs ever. That and Company Of Strangers are their strongest songs in a long time, besides those songs the rest of that ep was hit or miss.
This EP starts out so strong and ends slow for me. I don't know any of the original songs so it's fun to imagine these as original and then hoping this energy translates well to the new album!
I have a free $14 to spend at Moe's so I might just have to get a free Burrito or quesadilla or nachos. I don't know which I want more.
i prefer dopamine to ursa major, i associate dopamine with my last relationship and so it means a lot to me, and also i was so surprised and pleased with how good it was that somehow that feeling still lingers three years later. regardless i love both, “sharp knife” is my favorite 3eb song not named “red star”
Ursa is just such a GREAT record though. The trio of Water Landing - Dao of St Paul - Monotov's Private Opera is as good as the band has ever been PLUS Bonfire, Sharp Knife and Summer Town are another three that I would put above anything on Dopamine. I like Dopamine, I do, but there are more than a few songs where Stephen's vocals are way too strained, it's extremely hard for me to listen to the chorus of All The Souls, for example. Also, the album overall feels like they are playing it safe a little bit. We Are Drugs takes a few more chances than Dopamine, and I think it pays off, but I also haven't gotten as into that EP overall. I know it's good, maybe I just don't listen to it enough
personally i wouldn't put "summer town" above anything on dopamine. also i think an album with "get me out of here" and "something in you" and "back to zero" on it is definitely trying new things/not playing it safe
I guess I still don't know the Dopamine songs by name, because I don't know what those songs sound like other than Back to Zero haha. I'll go back through again asap
I got a 'Rito. I had 4 salsas with it and some chips. ¡Muy deliciosa! Me encanta la comida mexicana. ¡Así que me alegro de que el Sr. Moe haya llegado!
