The cover of Blood Bank sounds great, but I honestly can’t think of a less exciting Bon Iver song for 3EB to cover
Good stuff! Absolutely love Joke and In the Fade. I had never heard of a single one of these songs before @SlappinCups thoughts?
I think 10 and Joke are my favorites right now, but I definitely plan on listening to it more tonight! edit: yeah, I really liked In the Fade too
i'm thinkin a nice angel hair pasta, with some shaved prime rib and jalapenos in there. get some wine and a little bit of wacky tobaccy and you've got yourself a good combo for listening to it
This is solid, strangely I am unfamiliar with ALL of the originals/artists aside from the Bon Iver song which I think they've played live a little bit.
Even though they are one of my favorite bands, I still always seem to be surprised at how great their new output is. This release is extremely solid
Dopamine really renewed my hope in them after I found Ursa Major kinda lackluster. The lineup changes in the early 2010s seem to have really given them new life.
I personally think Ursa Major is by far their weakest album and Dopamine was a step back in the right direction haha. I still dig most of Ursa Major but there are some songs that I really only listen to if I'm listening to the album in full.
I too like Dopamine more than Ursa, but thought We Are Drugs was a step backwards overall. I think SJ has gotten a little lazier as a melody-writer. Shipboard Cook is a top tier 3EB song for me.
What are the strong tracks from this EP? Their last one was Company of Strangers and filler, I’m curious what the high points are here as I wasn’t blown away by Blood Bank
