So Screamer sounds different than it used to, right? I swear the version I was listening to all damn summer was different. But a lot of things seem different now. Maybe it’s just an issue with the multiverse
When the days run together, I'll run away, Maybe you'd be fun to play with, Where'd you get that suede suit, talk to me Maybe you'd be fun to play with
Also kinda funny that the top two threads on this forum are Jimmy Eat World and Third Eye Blind Wonder where the fanbase overlap is at these days
huge fan of both, but really struggling to ignore Jenkins irl personality and also just generally with liking this album. Surviving is sounding nice as hell on the other hand
Ways and Tropic Scorpio are both on heavy rotation for me, digging each a LOT more than on first listen Truly wish they’d saved Company of Strangers for this album and just skipped the EP entirely, it would change the feel of this album hugely
reminds me of how, when ursa major came out, i really wished they had somehow incorporated "red star" and "non-dairy creamer." i love ursa as it is but just imagine that record (with maybe a complete version of "carnival barker" at the end)
Ehh. There’s a real lull at points on that record. The highs are great but One In Ten-About To Break-Summer Town-Why Can’t You Be is a real lifeless stretch for this band
Hahah, I've fought for Why Can't You Be so many times in this thread and I don't get the hate. Beautiful lyrics, catchy as fuck.
One in Ten and Why Can't You Be are the only songs that feel a bit stylistically out of place on the album, but both are great songs
