Sorry I was being kinda douchey last night, this song was such a letdown for me lol

We all know Jenkins is an egomaniac but I feel like he props up these female artists to get attention for the album instead of giving them real space in the song, and it would almost always serve the song better if he did. Or, just don't advertise it and let it be a pleasant surprise, like when he used Vanessa Carlton and Kimya Dawson on past albums

I'm like 0.75/2 on these two tracks so far, and there's only nine to be heard. I need a Tropic Scorpio caliber track and fast

So, a web stream of the entire album is out there. Clearly a mistake on the label's part, so it'll probably be removed soon.

    First impressions:
    • Unlike anything they've released before.
    • Comparable to Thanks for Everything in terms of production.
    • "Dust Storm (How We Hold Each Other Right Now)" is straight-up post-punk.
    • No straight up "rockers.” Very tame in comparison with the rest of their catalogue.
    • "Again" is the heaviest song on the album.
    • "Time in Berlin" hits that 3EB closer sweet spot.
    • A few songs could benefit from being fleshed out more, most notably "Box of Bones" and "The Drying Blood."

same. their "disorder" cover was so good that "post-punk influenced" is really encouraging

Song is interesting. Video was terrifying. I’m not sure how much I like these new songs.

i can't believe i got two new 3eb albums in two years, and they're both really bizarre and mostly fantastic. sonically this is kinda like the inverse of screamer and obv that's partly because of the pandemic but i also think it's a really lovely progression

it's like the second half of ursa major as a whole album

Definitely disagree that this is like the second half of Ursa, but it's pretty enjoyable. Initial thoughts are that it's my least favorite album from them but still is pretty good
