This song is wayyyyy too much like a Silversun Pickups song for my liking. The chorus and the way he sings it just feel very close.

Honestly not a fan of the art, title or length lol, but I have no doubt I'll enjoy it anyways

The song changes so little that it feels like a constant drone, and honestly the production is prettttty terrible

 

He seems to like to feature popular female guest vocalists in name only and then gives them zero space with which to do anything at all

 

who is on this? also, what other instances? The Alexis Krauss feature was listed as a feature and she was a very integral part of the song

yeah the opening line of the song. it’s pretty significant idk

 

doesn't matter what percent of a song someone has, they can still be integral. Screamer wouldn't be Screamer without the Sleigh Bells-like chant in it.

 

also it's four lines, twice, and she has another line in the middle too. So while it's not like she is a co-vocalist, it's not "one line"

It’s fairly obvious he can’t move out of the spotlight for ten seconds but in any case calling Again a duet is a massive stretch

 

Comments had me worried but I like the song. Sure it’s more or less one long chorus but it’s catchy and changes just enough with the guitar solo, the “hey you buster bluster” melody at the end which is great, etc.

“Box of Bones” is a really good song. Honestly could be on Blue.

“Again” is really good too. Honestly their best stuff in a while. They always have at least some cool stuff on each record but I really dig these.
