Got my standing GA for $30! Not complaining, but is this typical for Groupon - selling tickets for an event before they’re even technically ‘on sale’ to the general public?
Defintely doing the Groupon for Portland when I get paid tomorrow. Its 26 bucks for a 300 level ticket, but I highly doubt this sells well due to ticket prices and people will most likely be moved up to the 200 level. Great deal.
True but they have that upper deck which kind of functions as the lawn in that...it totally sucks to sit there.
Was just about to ask on this. Does this mean the presale didn't go quite as well as expected, or is it just a "thing" that happens sometimes?
Wow, lots of disparity in prices between venues. I grabbed my ticket for Thompson's Point in Portland (Maine) for $53 after fees. All GA here. Very interested to see how this does here. Can't recall the last time TEB came to Maine, but JEW plays here somewhat regularly and doesn't sell out our 900 cap venue. Thompson's Point is about 5k.
Got tickets to the Boston show today through one of the pre-sales. More expensive than I was hoping for (and LOL at those $100 tickets in the first full section of the venue) but... I'm really excited about seeing Jimmy Eat World outdoors in the summer time. Might stick around for Third Eye Blind too, "just because."
I work for one of the co-promoters on the Denver date. We were approved to allocate tix for Groupon sales before the tour was even announced. It's just a tactic to move tickets quickly. It didn't reflect presale numbers at all.
Damn that groupon deal was $25 for my show on Friday, now they're $38. Still gonna hold out. I have a feeling these will be part of like a $15 memorial day sale.
I get that but like, if I buy on Groupon, do they just e-mail me Live Nation tickets like a normal concert purchase? Probably a dumb question in 2019, but I've literally never bought anything on Groupon.
Also, the vacations they're always selling on Groupon always just seem like a scam to me. The all inclusives that don't have things included with them. I just feel kind of sketchy getting anything on Groupon.
It's a normal ticket you can print or pull up on your phone , done it dozens of times with no problem
