This was originally a b-side from the s/t album. I think this is a new recording though.

 

Love this song. Pretty sure this was in American Pie haha.

 

I knew it was from some soundtrack but I couldn't remember which!

 

It was written for the Scream soundtrack but ended up on Varsity Blues

I don't really understand this release. It was already on Spotify. It's not a re-recording or anything either. I had it on an old playlist and notice that it's greyed out now. It's like they removed it and added it back as "new"... very odd

 

Haha hardly new.

 

Seems to me that Warner re-released it to gain more attention to this “archived” b-side. They did the same thing with Andrew McMahon with the Jack’s Mannequin P&Ts “Broken Bird” b-side awhile back too... it was listed as a new single but it was available on the deluxe version of the album as it always had been.
