My favorite things are home visits cause when they click they click. The one I went on today was amazing. Grandma was there and i'd never met her in the few years I've been working with them. We talked about the cast of Batman Begins and then she told me about all the soap actors she's met and it was amazing.
Walking down the middle of a empty 4 lane road while listening to "Damn it feels good to be a gangsta". Stardew Valley That Bert and Ernie video set to M.O.P.'s Ante Up....oldie but goodie.
I am an advocate and I go to families homes who are in our program and do visits to make goals and check in on them and make sure their kids have all their medical appts done and help them with anything they need, etc. I've been working with this one family a while but I'd never met the grandma before. She was watching tv and we discovered that we both know too many actors' names so then she went on a tangent about all these soap actors she has met out on the rez before. Idk if she really has or not but I choose to believe it!!
For me the phrase "that time of the month" is the few days each month where I listen to nothing but Glassjaw. Favorite lyrics right now: "Contrary to what you believe We oscillate and vary speed" Also: "Summer's trudging closer and A flurry of white as well It's the heart of nuclear Winter and I'm scared as hell"
If I could find a way to make a living working with animals, especially dogs I would. I'm not about that vet life though lol.
I bought a rice cooker and eating in college has been so nice as a result I ate a pint of ice cream myself because I can and that felt really fucking good My friends are cool all the time but really feeling it lately
Cats tweaking on catnip Planet Earth 2, or pretty much any bbc produced nature documentary made in the last 15 years. When being patient pays off. Random book/movie/game for $5- $10 bucks? Yas. Having an epiphany, and almost immediately forgetting about it....would prefer to remember, but almost never do. The important thing is being connected on a deeper level to things, no matter how fleeting the feeling is. Glow in the dark stars on ceilings.
There's still some snow on the ground, but it's raining occasionally (my favourite weather) and it's warm enough outside that I can sleep with the window open, yet cold enough that I need to be wrapped up cozy in my blankets to keep warm. I've been having some great sleeps. Bout to have another
The days are starting to get noticeably longer, and my batteries are starting to recharge as a result. As a testament to that I will include one of my favorite songs that helps me appreciate life, no matter how fucked the world gets.
