I needed to share my pain!

Plus Cherry Glazerr album leaked so I'm less bitter over not having heard this yet.

On "Performance" and this is just as good as I had hoped from the singles.

Love the energy on this. I already think it's their best after 2 listens.... just getting those goosebumps.

This is pretty good. It's weird to have any kind of illumination to their songs.

The energy on this really threw me off when I first put it on

  14. I love it. Their best for sure. Really experimented and it all clicked. Even better on 2nd listen now.

I don't think I like it? Performance is amazing but otherwise I didn't like anything as much as the singles.

I think this is where i'm at too. They are excellent musicians and everything sounds immaculate but nothing grabs me like On Hold did.

(Assuming you're also going to Philly Mann Center). The show is on the Skyline stage so it's all GA, no the amphitheater.

This album is what I wished the last album was, a huge step forward into something new and different but still distinctively the xx. It really feels like Jamie's production is noticable here, in a unique way, as something that is also distinctively him

  19. Yeah, I really loved the way they employed more energy but held onto their restraint, which is really the focal point of this band. Some of the slower stuff calls back to their first album and a lot of the brighter, sample-driven stuff gives Jamie just enough breathing room to leave his mark on the track. I think this is pretty easily their best album.

Won't be giving this a listen until Friday but wow based on how I think it'll sound I'm so excited, especially if it could be their best

It is definitively not their best album.

Album is great, let down by the closing track though. That prevents it form being a total knockout.

thought the closing track is probably the best thing on here. really gutwrenching

I've never heard anything from this band outside of "Intro".

    About to change that
