I mean, it's not a complicated set-up by any means... But as someone whose never been? Good to get a sense of what it's like beforehand.

Will we be able to walk around the building to get to Purgatory, or will we need to go through the building?

Purgatory is inside the building. It is 3 levels- Heaven up top, Purgatory in the middle, Hell downstairs.

not for the festival, last year purgatory was a band lounge and they put what they considered "purgatory" outside

purgatory is right at the main entrance outside

I have a pair of 2-day tickets for sale if anyone is interested. Unfortunately, my fiance and I are unable to attend now.

Me too. Wish i could go. i wonder if that means its not selling as well as they'd hoped or if they are just trying to really blow it out.

That would be a shame. The lineup is solid.

I bought mine before, but I don't mind my money going to towards the masq. I think they met their quota, this is just a way to sell excess.

Does anyone know of any chill late night spots around The Masquarade? I'd rather not have to take an Uber back to my hotel after Gorilla Biscuits just to take another one back to the venue for the Thursday late night show.

Motion City is across from two other excellent bands that I may prioritize over them even though I love MCS

Lurking local chiming in: Fellini's Pizza off Ponce is open late, I believe until 2 am. (This is my usual spot post-Masquerade shows, so this is my #1 rec. I'm not sorry, I love them.) There are a couple pubs and bars off Ponce that I've heard good things about, like Bookhouse Pub or El Bar.

It’s a perfect day for letting go... Supporter

I got to see Anyi flag, who I don't care much about, but they did a Fugazi cover and that was tight.

Next, I saw Deafheaven, which was cool but I felt was weird to have on the outside stage in the middle of the day. Their music isn't really conducive to that setting, I think

Tried to see Touché Amoré but the line was too long, watched a little of Bayside and got Merch.

Went to hell to plant myself for Ceremony and Cold Cave. Got to watch Turnstile too, who I'm not all too familiar with, but put on a great show.

Ceremony was my show of the day. They BLEW me away. Discography-covering set list. Tore down that room!

Cold Cave was great as well. I was a little nervous as to what to expect, but they were a lot of fun.

Did the Thursday after show. Gouge Away is a cool new band you should check, Touché killed it per usual. And Thursday was top notch. Cool, deep cut heavy set. Lots of energy in a small room.

It was a really fun time. Does anyone remember what Ceremony played?
