I loved the EP, and it's what got me kinda-into the band. Eyjafjallajokull Dance is still my jam.
yeah, got me kinda is the best way to describe it as to me too
I'm generally suspicious of bands re-recording their material, but there are lofty exceptions
also, having the entire EP on vinyl is great, so annoying that the 7" is incomplete
the better vocals are exciting
my favorite vocals are the ones in Whenever, If Ever
that's David (et al), right?
Both singers sang on that one haha. Which songs specifically?
I love this EP, this should be really cool
Stoked for this. Volcano Dance and Victim Kin Seek Suit are two of my favorite TWIABP tracks
actually don't think david sang much on whenever if ever but he did join during that period
I thought he sang on like half the album?
i like tom's voice a lot more
just a quick listen through and this is where i "think" i hear dave
harmonies on fightboat, getting sodas i think...i couldn't catch it elsewhere, not too sure though haha
I thought Dave was on those, Low Light, Layers, and Picture of a Tree
I know shitty Greg sings a good part of Picture of a Tree
You may be right though
excited to hear how these turn out, i think i listened to the originals once and haven't come back since
that could be why i think that then. idk. havent listened to w,ie in a while tbh
Tom was a good vocalist but I think Dave can do what he did just as well, and Tom seemed to mostly stick to one vocal style. Also these songs will be dope, they're all a lot tighter now with this (currently) solidified line up.
Edit: In regards to vocals I wanna clarify to say that to me it sounds like Dave makes a more conscious effort to use his entire range, if that makes sense
whoa, this is sweet!
pre-order is up
Excited to hear this, I feel like the vocals were the weak point of this band until Harmlessness
Never listened to the original version of Formlessness, but I'm interested in checking this out.
Listening to this for the first time (original obviously) and realized something something Dance has the same lyrics as The Word Lisa. That's pretty neat!
The Word Lisa also takes from "Thanks", the only salvageable song on Between Bodies lol
Between Bodies is sick tho
the spoken word makes me cringe so hard
