Yeah the whole sounding like he's crying when he's singing thing got old real quick, but even based on that shitty cell phone recording...I immediately like this better than anything on the last album. And I've basically sworn off pop-punk at this point.
Fuckkkkk I am so excited to listen when I’m home. Haven’t been home in ages so hoping there’s something in the mail for me
Stagnation never sounded so good bb legoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo0o0o0o0o0o0o00o0o0o00o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0oo00o0o0o0o0o0o For real though this song is tremendous
Who are the primary song writers in TWY? I know Dan writes the lyrics, but is there a single member that writes most of the music? Or total collaboration? I somehow don’t know this.
Dan only does lyrics and some vocal melodies. The rest of the songs is done through collaboration of the rest of the guys. They never really go into detail with parts of whose written what but I believe Nick wrote a lot of Chaser (he definitely did the guitar solo) and I think Casey played all of Living Room Song
I'm very, very into this. The change in pace or which ever you would call it at around 1:25 is great.
Listened once and I'm waiting for the CDQ to drop to listen again but first thought is that it has a Song For Patsy Cline vibe
Yeah, I was gonna say, I kinda cringe at the whole “sounding like he’s about to cry” delivery Soupy tends to do when he sings cleaner parts.
dunno bout the rest of you lot but I just sat there through that whole recording frantically eating toast and it was a fantastic listen
Thank you for that. I’m surprised there’s not more information out there about who is writing the music. Stuff like that just makes me love the band more. They really come off as a tight unit
Song seems like it could be good but I can't glean much of the instrumentation from the clip. Also not a fan of the defeated vocal style and found it more distracting than usual here. Sucks, cause I do really like his voice.
