i feel we'll either get a song wednesday or not for a bit

either way i will report back about the show

 

It has to be sooner rather than later, I'd assume those postcards being sent out was the heralding event.

 

i wonder if this will be the 2nd part of a new trilogy. NCTH still had quite a few references to past songs anyways but it felt more interconnected than part of an overarching story so maybe this new album will just be a new album with its own concept and contained story.

 

Tomorrrow seems way too soon, but one can hope. Haha. They will probably build up the hype for a 1-2 weeks I reckon. Drop the single on the 2nd or 9th.

 

I’ve been hoping they’ll release a new song then play it at the show but I don’t know how likely that is. Regardless I can’t wait for the show.

I'm very excited for this. They've always just been a band that brings a lot of perspective in, and bring me to a certain place and time when I listen. Sorry, know that may sound pretentious, I'm just getting hyped.

 

I'm under the impression this album could determine the future of the current wave of pop punk/scene whatever you wanna call it. The whole thing's been stagnating and TWY are the most influential innovators it's got.

No band gets me as excited as TWY, what a time to be alive

 

Finished Hanif Abdurraqib’s book not too long ago and there’s a line in his TWY essay about how Suburbia, TGG, and NCTH are a trilogy of sorts. Thought that was really interesting and I’ve been turning the idea over in my head while listening to TWY a lot lately.

 

Hope the production is more like TGG than NCTH. The production on the last album really put me off.

Pretty sure it's They Can't Kill Us Until They Kill Us. There's also excellent essays about Fall Out Boy andChance the Rapper in it.

The parts I’ve read are fantastic. Planning on finishing it on the way to Philly next week.
