yeah i get that. for me i think i was bored of that style of music before it dropped. i loved it initially but soured super fast. it's the same style of music as suburbia but with none of the emotional impact that suburbia had for me. i thought ncth was just really bad.
yeah NCTH was not good. not because it was aggressively bad, mostly because of the context around it. just an uninteresting record
There were some good songs on it but for the most part yeah just a boring record. Felt pretty rushed imo
imo "Teenage Parents" and "Cul-de-Sac" are as emotionally powerful as "And Now I'm Nothing" and more than any other song on Suburbia
Don't know if I'd say good, but it's promising. I liked some parts of this album after hating the first two
Yeah I agree with that, maybe their best. I think their top five songs are probably: And Now I'm Nothing There, There The Devil in My Bloodstream Chaser Cigarettes and Saints I really never listen to any of their material anymore though. They just don't have any albums that I can listen to front to back, and two years ago I'd have been shocked if someone told me that.
I can't even begin to come up with a top 5, but I Won't Say The Lords Prayer is my favorite song by them and it's not even close. C&S is definitely top 5, too.
Huh, that's never been among my favorites and especially now the middle section of Suburbia runs together so much
There, There Me vs The Highway And Now I'm Nothing Hoodie Weather Devil in My Bloodstream I'll be forever disappointed that NCTH wasn't full of songs in the vein of There, There. Thought for sure that they'd move more in that direction.
It sounds like they knew they were at a crossroads and actively decided not to progress. Probably not what happened, but that's the vibe of the record
Me Vs The Highway Cigarettes & Saints And Now I'm Nothing There, There The Bastards, The Vultures, The Wolves
There There Hoodie Weather Came Out Swinging Devil In My Bloodstream A Raindance in Traffic or We Could Die Like This
