I knew it was coming down to this. I honestly have no clue. I'll probably respond at like 4:59 tomorrow with my answer because I really don't know. My heart says Came Out Swinging, but god damn C&S is an incredible song
Came Out Swinging If I had to introduce someone to TWY with one song, it would no doubt be this song.
Let's just keep it going where every other person picks opposite, and then we never actually have to pick one of these over the other.
Tough decision with each song being my favorite in their respective era, but I'm going with Cigarettes & Saints.
It's hard for me to call it better. I would probably go as far as to call Came Out Swinging my favorite pop-punk song of all time (but pop punk means something specific to me that doesn't qualify bands like MCS, Say Anything, etc. so take that for what it's worth). I also like that its sad but hopeful, which is what the Wonder Years are all about for me. I guess you could say C&S ends kind of hopeful, but it's a more helpless type of hope - like hey I'm probably not going to win but I'm still going to try. Either way, both are easily top 5 TWY songs.
