"Stained Glass Ceilings" "Passing Through A Screen Door" "Cigarettes &Saints” "I Just Want To Sell Out My Funeral"
Honestly surprised Hoodie Weather made it so far. Not one of my favorites of ours from a musical standpoint. I imagine there's much more of a lyrical connection for you guys though.
Was Hoodie Weather really the runner up for Suburbia? Damn, that song is like, the sixth best song on that album.
Saturday Morning Totals: Stained Glass Ceilings - 2 Came Out Swinging - 9 Washington Square Park - 5 Passing Through A Screen Door - 6 Hoodie Weather - 3 Cigarettes & Saints - 8 I Was Scared And I'm Sorry - 1 I Just Want To Sell Out My Funeral - 10
Came Out Swinging Washington Square Park Cigarettes & Saints I Just Want To Sell Out My Funeral The four GOAT TWY songs imo

I doubt it will get tossed in a regular rotation ever. Haven't played Woke Up Older in a while so I imagine that will come back soon. IMO, it's just very "standard". Vocal melody is definitely one of the stronger ones on the record, but it's never been as fun as others to play live for some reason.
oh hey its cool youre keeping up with this haha. whats your favorite song you guys have written? a big part of why Dont Let Me Cave In is one of, if not my favorite, TWY songs is because of your super somber keyboard parts that just add so much
I can't speak for anyone else obviously but yeah I remember when the album dropped I latched onto this one immediately from a lyrical standpoint. Cool to hear your take on it though!
makes sense, always interesting seeing the viewpoints of someone who's less focused on more of the lead parts as opposed to the listener
