Damn both of these are so hard to pick. These votes are going to shit anyways but My Life As Rob Gordon And Now I'm Nothing
Here are my votes folks. Hoodie Weather And Now I'm Nothing ----------------------------------------- Here's midday results and if it's cool with everybody else I'm just gonna call it cuz there's no coming back lol. "My Life As Rob Gordon" (5) vs "Hoodie Weather" (29) "And Now I'm Nothing" (7) vs "Came Out Swinging (27) ----------------------------------------- Finals for Suburbia I've Given You All And Now I'm Nothing from now until 5PM EST 17-August "Hoodie Weather" vs "Came Out Swinging"
You all keep picking the wrong songs!!! Came Out Swinging (although it's not even the third best song on the album)
Surprised Hoodie Weather made it this far tbh. ANIN and COS should have been the finals imo anyway Came Out Swinging
Came Out Swinging For the incredible live energy that song brings but also because it was the song that set the tone for what this band has become since The Upsides. I will never forget getting my Suburbia pre-order five days early, putting this track on in my bedroom and just being utterly blown away by what I was hearing. It basically catapulted this band from one that I already loved to one that I can safely say is among my favorite bands of all time. The raw emotion in Soupy's voice as he belts that finale out still gets me fired up every single time. It's just a perfect song in pretty much every way in and of itself, but the meaning it has taken on, for the band and for me, since it came out puts it over the top.
I want to say Came Out Swinging, but I have to vote: Hoodie Weather My friends and I had an on going joke where we would quote this song all the time when it first came out. Mainly "I was born here, I'll probably die here." We would blare this whole album, but this was the song we would play the most. Holds a lot of meaning to me. Both phenomenal songs regardless.
Pause on the tourney. Looks like Aaron West is announcing/releasing something on Thursday so cool beans.
Just saw that. Dan's been busy if this is new music.... Between TWY and the Brand New stuff these past couple weeks have been rough on my wallet and now Aaron West is delivering the final (welcomed) blow.
I know that it's gonna get slaughtered but my vote is for Hoodie Weather. This song just represents everything for me; fall, pop-punk, my hometown, my dad, everything I ever took for granted growing up as a kid before realizing that the world around us isn't perfect. The song fills me with such nostalgia of the past and for things I don't even think I've felt or experienced yet. It's the definitive song on this album that represents the growing up spirit of the album. Everytime i get to hear this song in concert I lose my shit. And you bet this fall, even at the age of 24, having a car and a life, im gonna step out of my house on a cool fall evening just as the sun is setting, throw this song on my earphones, pull my hoodie over my head and just walk for hours.
Guess we all missed this yesterday since it happened right after Brand New announced their album haha. Hoping for new music! Came Out Swinging
Lol yeah that was just rotten luck on that timing. He sent the tweet right in the middle of the shitshow at 12:04.
