i actually dont mind the mix and i think it kinda adds to the albums concept. im no audio engineer or anything but the album is still very listenable imo and the moments where Dans vocals are lower in the mix kinda make me think of how you can feel like youre being drowned out when youre struggling with depression or other issues. thats obviously me just reading too far into as as @nicksteinborn said its simply a matter of they ran out of time, but im one of the few that doesnt really mind the mix because i think the songs themselves are so strong. but thats just me
I Don't Like Who I Was Then Cardinals I love the other two songs too, but these, along with Bluest Things and I Wanted So Badly To Be Brave are my NCTH favourites.
I haven't voted yet because I've literally not been able to decide since it first got posted yesterday between Stained Glass and I Don't Like Who I Was, but I'm going to go with Stained Glass. I think I Don't Like Who I Was is TWY doing what they do best, and shows how much they've perfected crafting a pop-punk song. But I'm picking Stained Glass because I like that it's a little different from them and represents a push forward, which I like to see. Plus I love the Jason Butler feature. Stained Glass Ceilings Cigarettes & Saints
With @mattfreaksmeout voting at the last minute we have our winners. "I Don't Like Who I Was Then" (13) vs "Stained Glass Ceilings" (19) "Cardinals" (5) vs "Cigarettes & Saints" (27) ----------------------------- Stained Glass Ceilings is probably going to get wrecked by Cigarettes & Saints but who knows. We will go to 5PM tommorow unless I need to end it early for a total landslide. "Stained Glass Ceilings" vs "Cigarettes & Saints"
Cigarettes & Saints Easily the best song on the record. I get chills literally every single time I listen to the end of the song
Thank god I got it in on time. Would've completely changed the outcome if I hadn't! But anyway Cigarettes & Saints no question.
There's maybe 2 matches in the first round that will be blowouts, but the rest of that round and the following ones are gonna make you all think I'm a sadist.
@nicksteinborn , I just moved to the Hatfield/Lansdale area for work about 3 months ago. Not sure if you still live around here or not, but what are your go-to restaurants / food stops around here? I've been going to Vinny's for pizza and Tex-Mex Connection for Mexican, there anything else I should check out?
