Even with There, There being the most straightforward on the EP like you said, I thought it was really great. The end of the song gives a whole different vibe. I'm most excited to hear Hemingway, actually! One of my favorites from NCTH. That's a cool tidbit about TGG. The harmonies on that album are A+. Thought you both nailed it.
I don't like who I was then Cigarettes and Saints. Also, having Nick on this thread and learning all these little cool tidbits about the album recording process is the greatest thing ever.
My picks are Stained Glass Ceiling and Cardinals. Thought a long time about the Cardinals/C&S matchup, I think that was the hardest of this album. Anywhere here's the morning tally with about half of the usual votes in. "I Don't Like Who I Was Then" (7) vs "Stained Glass Ceilings" (13) "Cardinals" (3) vs "Cigarettes & Saints" (17)
I Don't Like Who I Was Then Cigarettes & Saints Yeah I'd echo what someone said about the main problem being the Cardinals vocals in the first verse being just a liiiiittle too low. But generally I liked the slightly less clean mix, it suited the sound more than the very polished TGG mix.
Stained Glass Ceilings Cigarettes & Saints Glad my 2 favorite songs from the record might face off in the final!
