Not as stupid as last second flights to Anaheim but rented a car today with a friend and drove to Pittsburgh to catch the Maximum Fun tour. The band crushed it, always interesting seeing them play not in front of their usual crowd. Also after a quick google, I think this was the first time they’ve played a NHL/NBA arena, super cool for the band. Was disappointed with Yellowcard, they just don’t have the juice for me this reunion. Glad they’re getting a ton of buzz but just not for me anymore. ADTR was the same familiar tired set, ducked out after a few songs.
I was at the rock and roll hall of fame this weekend and found this delightful early NCTH track list in the “newer legends” exhibit. Pretty cool! Love describing Hemingway as “upbeat Weezer style” lol.
Cardinals variant arriving Saturday. Shoutout to the guy who bought my OG smash pressing so I could justify the upgrade.
hot damn mine arrived yesterday and he a THICK BOI, just barely fits in my triple gatefold sized sleeves
Just unboxed my cardinals variant and I think it looks dope! Saw them for the first time last week at Warped Orlando and got sucked into the pit. Love this band.
their run w ADTR is done so i assume we get the NCTH us dates this week. heavy emphasis on assume. i know nothing.
Demos from the NCTH anniversary edition If there's a better rip floating around, please let me know. My record has some pops in the quieter sections, and these also came out mono for some reason (most likely my fault since I'm using my new turntable's USB feature for the first time). They're very similar to final arrangements, just minor lyric and melody changes.
I’m so happy they released the remastered album but I feel like the lyrics are easier to make out on these demos than they are even on the remaster. Is that just me?
Last week was my 34th time seeing them, never too many. (it was also the day before my 34th birthday. stars aligned.)
