after extensive research I have concluded that GODDAMNITALL would've greatly improved the album in place of Bastards/Vultures/Wolves. thank you for coming to my ted talk
TGG, NCTH and Sister Cities were progressively worse in the mastering department and could use a serious remaster. The newest one is still more squashed than I'd like but definitely an improvement.
https://www.instagram.com/stories/b...ig_story_item_share&igsh=MW5zdGp1aWVmNmo5Zw== LPOE Fest 2? (or 1, I'm pretending I didn't have to miss the first one!)
Probably LPOE fest 2, or maybe some new music to go along with Sad Summer? They're still sitting on the Thrice cover Dan mentioned in that interview.
I was just thinking after seeing the little mini-tour announcement... When was the last time these guys were support on a tour and not the headliner?
My sense of time is completely warped, but I'm sure they've supported Blink-182 since 2013, but could be imagining it
I saw them in support for Billy Talent and I was sure it wasn't THAT long ago, but it seems it was also late fall of 2013
The Knoxville date is the day before Post. Festival kicks off in Indianapolis...maybe I should make a long weekend of it
Super weird that The Wonder Years are coming all the way to the UK to play support to Neck Deep, a band that they're wayy more popular than. Bit annoying if these are the only UK dates for a while, with shorter support setlists.
sorry to burst anyone's bubble but neck deep are very obviously more popular than the wonder years literally everywhere
My mistake then, feel like The Wonder Years play bigger rooms than them here in the UK but maybe I've not paid that much attention to Neck Deep in a while. Fair enough, still sucks that it's only a support slot.
Neck Deep are much bigger. They just headlined Ally Pally and can see them headlining something like Slam Dunk or 2000 Trees. They definitely dipped in popularity on the album before last, but it seems the new one has got them back up. Good tour though. One Step Closer rule. I’ll be going to the Birmingham date I guess.
No dates close to where I live at the foot of the country and I really don't care for Neck Deep lol so may have to give this one a miss.
A band this good playing second fiddle to fucking Neck Deep is so, so bleak. I get it, popularity sells, but goddamn.
I haven't really ever listened to Neck Deep but they are basically 6x the monthly listeners of TWY on Spotify. I can see the appeal for TWY, support slot a bit less pressure for organising/logistics, big enough venues for your die-hards to come along and probably bigger crowds overall than usual, enjoy your time overseas and maybe pick up some new fans as you blow the headliners off the stage each night. Good on them. PS excited to learn that pop punk bands play the Ally Pally which I only know from darts haha legendary venue
