They accidently re-used the barcode from TGG for Scenequeen's album; if you buy that you will get her album, not TGG. There hasn't been a recent repress of TGG.

 

Shocking they left this off the album, feels like it could’ve been a hit

 

This is so much better than expected I'd take this over a few tracks on TGG

 

Here's the tracklist including the bonus LP. Curious if Need You is another unreleased song similar to Citywide Special or if its an early scratch of Funeral.

 

Where can one hear Citywide Special?

 

I have a feeling it was left off less for being a bad song and more for treading some similar ground to other stuff. I assume it's talking about the same funeral as The Devil In My Bloodstream for example. (Nick/Dan, feel free to tell me I'm talking out of my ass)

More surprised it took ten years to emerge! I love the chorus vocals.

EDIT: Watching the music video and Dan visibly struggling to get through the "you can fit so much generational trauma into this baby" without corpsing has me dying

 

pretty sure it would be happening off the back of this. they repressed The Upsides and Suburbia in late 2021 and they're still in circulation. maybe later this year.

 

They should have replaced this song with chaser on the album. Just my opinion tho haha

 

I very much disagree. If there’s a song to drop from TGG, it’s “An American Religion.”

 

Yeah, "An American Religion" and "Madelyn" are the two I could do without.

 

American Religion would be my second pick! Either way tho this song should have made it on the album

 

I get the importance of Madelyn in the overall narrative arc, and love the song, but it undeniably sticks out.

 

Don't think I've read an opinion on this site that I disagree with more than this one, congrats!
