not sure if this has been mentioned, but he also doesn’t sing the Morgan Spurlock line in Came Out Swinging anymore
In your defense that album sounds like it was recorded in a tin can underwater with aluminum foil wrapped around every microphone.
I also want a remix/master of NCTH so badly but the second half's songwriting is incredible. Thanks for the Ride, Stained Glass Ceilings, I Wanted So Badly to Be Brave, You in January, and Palm Reader are all classics. I like the title track for how understated it is but don't find it to be so essential, more like an epilogue. And if we're counting A Song for Ernest Hemingway in the second half, it might be one of the weaker ones but it's still great. Ofc all of this is my own opinion, but I love these songs.
Patsy Cline is still the most disappointing song they have. Always feels like it should hit so much harder and it doesn't. Outside of that I really do love ncth
The show last night was such a great time, I don't think anything would have made me feel more nostalgic Full agree
Getting really excited for Boston in a couple weeks. This'll be the first TWY show I hang back on in years. I don't think my body could handle those two albums from the guardrail anymore. I'm sure I'll miss it when I'm there, though.
The last three albums could all use a remix/remaster. Who's gonna step up to be the Steven Wilson of pop-punk?
No Patsy Cline slander that song rips Also I kinda like how messy the mix is on that album. I usually prefer as much clarity as possible but it fits really well
Excited that this is the first tour I get to see them on. Considering how much Dan has improved over the years, I've especially wanted to hear Upsides as it was his roughest vocally.
lol like you actually hear him at the concert. The best TWY shows are the ones where you cant hear the vocals at all because the crowd is singing them back so loud. Can't imagine these discog shows are any different.
Dan sounds pretty good now, but you can tell by the end of the set he’s pretty cooked. Vocals were clear and good in Columbus and fine in Cleveland.
