Can we just get like a better sounding record? Last two albums have just sounded off by a big a margin.
Thought Sister Cities was worlds better sounding than NCTH honestly. Some songs didn't hit the mark, but overall a huge improvement than what NCTH sounded like
Upsides - not bad sounding, just really compressesd, but honestly can’t hear it any other way. Suburbia - nice, raw sound that’s works for these songs. Has almost a live feel. Greatest Generation - best sounding album, mixes all 3 guitars well and had the biggest sounding chorus. NCTH - terrible sounding record. A muddy mess. Sister Cities - good and not so good. Mix of suburbia & NCTH
Does anyone else hate the production on Raining in Kyoto? Sounds noticeably worse than any other track. Specifically the beginning.
Yeah that song got me kind of worried about the rest of the album on first listen. I think the rest of the album is at least fine, and works extremely well on a lot of parts, but that song never really feels like it kicks much if that makes sense.
SC still is far and away my favorite album by these guys. Never thought The Upsides could be topped, but I admire how tight this album is.
This is what I'm saying (in the nicest way because I know the guys look at this forum). I would pay good money for remasters of NCTH and SC, I love those records but SC kind of holds the crown for worst sounding record I've heard in years. Burst and Decay was beautiful though!
Anyone know where I can find a decent rez image of the dog from the cover of Sister Cities? Heavily considering getting it as a tattoo- any help would be appreciated!
Man. It's been 8-ish years since I saw this band open for Four Year Strong. They left such an impression on me. I loved The Upsides so much.
Judging by this, TWY is definitely doing Limp Bizkit for their cover set Middle left is Oasis Middle right is... Weezer? Bottom is Carly Rae Jepsen
Future Teens liked the tour announcement on Twitter. I know that's not confirmation or anything, given their relationship to Dan. I could definitely see them doing Carly Rae Jepsen, though. And their current tour wraps up about a month before.
