I have pretty much enjoyed everything TWY have put out, even if it's just a small amount, but damn I think Patsy Cline is a really fucking awful song.
Amazing how polarizing NCTH is. And Patsy Cline. Love it. Edit: Was glad to see a good chunk of the setlist from NCTH. Great live songs.
Hey they can play what they want I just don’t like it!!!! Different than saying a band shouldn’t play the new stuff on the tour promoting that album
I want more TGG, honestly. Imagining them closing with Funeral into Ocean is emotionally distressing in the best way possible. Also, this tour oddly made a fantastic first date. Plus, show was wicked fun.
This isn’t the same but I do find it annoying when bands play like five songs off an album when it isn’t out for another month.
Patsy Cline is not that bad of a song it just DEFINITELY should not have been the third (really the second(!)) track on the album
Atlanta last night was a bit of a bummer. TJ and TMP both sounded great and had great crowds. Then apparently the audio console crashed after TJ and TWY lost their whole soundcheck. It was probably the worst I've ever heard a band of their caliber/size sound. Guitars were super muddled and couldn't hear the bass hardly at all. Really all you could hear was vocals and drums, but you couldn't even hear the kick. It was a huge bummer because the crowd was great and the band had a ton of energy. Obviously not their fault and they rolled with the punches well.
For anyone that's done the VIP so far, a couple of questions since I haven't done one of these since the very first one they did when they toured TGG: 1. How early was the soundcheck / VIP session time compared to doors? 2. The description says they pull songs for soundcheck from requests, is that something fans request at the soundcheck or did they do something online beforehand where people chose the songs?? 3. Soundrink has it that the VIP items will be available at the merch desk, has anybody tried picking up their stuff after the show? Not sure my venue has a re-entry policy. Also does anyone know what worriers has been playing?
Hey! I did VIP at asbury early in the tour 1) our soundcheck started later than planned, but they sent us an email a few days before the show and told us to be there about an hour and a half before doors ended up being 2) So when you get the confirmation email for the VIP, there is a link in the email that links to a goole doc page where you get to request two songs. its kinda hidden, dark green on light green text, and a few people at my date unfortunately didn't see it. also, they pull out any songs that they're gonna play during the regular set later 3) Once again, this may change depending on venue, but at ours they came out to wristband us and give us the stuff on line outside as they were doing this, before the session started. some were able to go out to their cars. I know a few people were able to get their stuff held at the bar but that wasn't an official option. I also don't know if anyone asked if you could pick it up later, they just sort of gave it to you, so I don't know if something could be worked out if asked.
So tonight was fun but Wonder Years didn’t play some of the encore songs because of the curfew I guess. Show started at 5:30 ended about 9:30 iirc
you patsy cline deniers are mad, great song. the only bit i don't think works fully in that song is the bridge
