God that is so far and away my favorite song on the record. We’re considering it for a first dance wedding song lol.
There’s definitely a post in this thread of me saying I don’t need to hear new songs live and I wish I could punch that guy in the face. Also very surprised sad and sober isn’t on the set list. Seems like it would be a huge crowd pleaser.
Holy shit 6 song vip session? Makes me jealous considering I didnt buy VIP because I hated Sister Cities Set is pretty good all things considered, I do agree that a couple of those will probably get rotated out. Stoked for Cul-De-Sac if that stays at least until tuesday.
They were incredible last night. Sound and lights were amazing Setlist opinions: Pyramids is a perfect opener. Scared & Sorry was a huge surprise. Came Our Swinging in the middle was odd. The acoustic songs for the encore worked really well and I actually enjoyed them a lot. The past few times I saw them they seemed burnt out so I’m glad this break happened because they were better than ever last night TJ: Follows Nervous Kids Plane v Tank Make It Up Escape Sun Blurry Brass Distress Slow Come On Chemicals June Hum TMP Sundresses Applause Headache Feel Alive Common Cold Birdhouse Caution Always Focused TMP had a great crowd and TJ didn’t have one at all except for The Sun they really should play I Saw Water and Window and cut Make It Up Picked up the windbreaker and the shirt with the Kyoto? photo on it Also @VanMastaIteHab pretty sure after seeing your username now that I got you your ticket haha
Hahahahaha you were in the Worry shirt?! That’s crazy! Thanks a lot for the last minute save though!!
Coffee and Cul-De-Sac stayed on the setlist for the whole UK tour. Also, no Local Man is very weird. Seemed like a live staple. I also wish Hemingway and Dismantling were electric, but it will be a nice change of pace. My train to the city is in about 4 hours, I’m starting to feel it.
They did say they were only doing those acoustic songs because they didn’t come to Pittsburgh on the burst & decay tour. So no guarantee that’ll be on the entire tour.
Scared and Sorry absolutely has to stay on. That song is so ridiculously underrated. Everytime its on the setlist is a surprise.
It’s interesting to me that TJ is playing over TMP. Seems like the latter is blowing up super quickly. Also bummed for no Warm Hand Splash, probably my favorite of their songs.
No idea! Just right before playing the acoustic songs they said something like “we released an EP last year called burst & decay, and the tour for it didn’t stop in Pittsburgh, so we thought we’d play a few of those renditions for you now.”
Seems like something they could easily change to "that tour was rooms smaller than we usually play and we know not everyone got to hear them last time"
In that case, I don't imagine them dropping the songs. I re-listened to the Burst & Decay versions and liked them more than I remember. Especially Hemingway.
