Seconded, but There There through Bloodstream is also one of my favorite run of songs on any album so the back half had a lot to live up to lol

TGG had best roll out for sure. That was a time. Still remember losing my shit over the video for Passing Through the Screendoor

 

Plus the preorder merch was incredible

My hot take. I genuinely still enjoy Get Stoked On It, if it was put out by a different band today I'm sure others would too.

I honestly have the most nostalgia for that album, saw them play a show with my cousins band at an ice skating rink around the time that came out. Still good in my book.

There are some good songs on those albums, but the performances are all but unlistenable.

I'll go ahead and say that I'm fanboy trash and genuinely love all of their albums (some more than others, but all nonetheless). There's a reason my only tattoo is a Hank tattoo.

 

They have put out 6 straight classics.

Adding fuel to the fire when I say that I listened to The Upsides for the first time in about a decade because I’m doing a discography run and it does not hold up well for me at all. Only a few songs I might have any interest in revisiting.

 

It'll always have a special place in my heart even if it's my least favourite TWY record, which says a lot about what this band means to me
