I love the confidence of putting that lyric in the teaser video. Even knowing it was coming it still hits so hard.
You better get that session scheduled ASAP! What a line. Dan has really turned into one of the best lyricists out there in my opinion. He does not shy away from content that is going to destroy his fans and that is what I love!
It's taken me a few listens to "get into" Door I Painted Shut. Feel like the end should have exploded into a 6/8 instrumental. In the context of the album, Wyatt's Song does have the strength and pep to follow suit I suppose. Self-contained as a song, I would have liked Doors to have been a bit longer, I think. Although thinking about it more... that's more or less how And Now I'm Nothing ends, so it may be my brain trying to find something it's familiar with.
As far as first impressions go, I think this and TGG have had the strongest/most impactful first listens.
here is essay: Cultivate, Maintain, Wander Through Nowhere: The Wonder Years and 'The Hum Goes on Forever' - The Alternative
Okay all these reactions are killing me. Can anyone recommend a good VPN I can get on my phone to steam this shit now?!
I’ve only used the desktop version (which is great) but mullvad has apps for android and iOS. There’s also guides on their site for setting it all up
I have tried and failed to figure this out a few times. I have ExpressVPN and select New Zealand and fire up Apple Music and it never works. What am I doing wrong??
Enjoying this more than Sister Cities so far, and only up to Track 9. Side note: Kinda remarkable how these guys have remained so solid over such a long time span. Not to mention how pop punk years are like dog years, so they've basically had a 70 year career at this point.
we pushed it half an hour early. here you go. I have never been more proud of something I've written. The Wonder Years, “The Hum Goes on Forever”
Reading all of these pieces about the record makes me want to listen to the prerelease singles all day but I gotta wait it out
Just saw Brian Fallon retweet this, incredible to see worlds colliding At this point I need a Gaslight/TWY tour
When they kept talking about how it was gonna be the best Wonder Years album I was like "oh yeah, they're just hyping the album up" and wow, here I am listening to it at 1 in the morning absolutely bawling my eyes out. Fucking amazing.
