Yeah that's definitely a different strokes scenario, haha. I like Descensus but he was way too heavy on the highs on that one for me, and it felt much more smooth on The Amulet to me. Back on topic, these songs are sounding like beefy menz songs from a production standpoint and I am a-okay with that
Will Yip did an awesome job on After The Party, that album is the perfect Menzingers sound. Then he kind of Yippified Hello Exile (excess vocal reverb, not much pops in the mix, just my opinion). I think he's nailed the TWY sound here too. Hopefully he doesn't follow it up by saying 'okay now it's Yip time' on the next one.
Will Yip forever Do we know what songs Yip has on here? I thought I read somewhere he has 3 songs on the album and Evetts has the rest? I could be mistaken though.
Found myself enjoying Low Tide instrumentally, but I don’t think I fuck with Dan’s vocals much anymore. Also think the chorus is pretty weak, lyrically
UK tour dates going live on Facebook so I’d imagine an announcement is imminent. Support is just ‘special guests’ on the graphic currently.
I mean there were complaints when the Bournemouth show was postponed in the first place, I'm not sure those fans will be best pleased
I would have bet my life that 10/16 was going to be a Philly date. What the hell is going on? Edit: Oh yeah, 10/12 is definitely Philly.
I stopped listening to these guys awhile ago but I'm intrigued by this upcoming album. I've never listened to No Closer to Heaven or Sister Cities so I guess I should do that.
The only reason why I think it makes sense is that there are a few days off before the 10/12 (speculated Philly) date. They play 10/9 in Michigan, then there are no shows until 10/12. So I would imagine they would want to go home and see their families before continuing on, so playing in Philly 10/12 makes sense in that way.
Agreed the routing might be weird, but the Fillmore isn't booked on 10/12 in Philly, so MAAAYBE it's there?
